Yes. Smart locks can hold a code for each week that starts and stops on the dates you set. You can also give the cleaners and family their own codes and see who came in and when.

Will guests be on the same Wi-Fi as my cameras and locks?

No. Guests get their own network. Cameras, locks, and thermostats stay on a separate one that guests can't see.

Do the cameras record inside the rental?

We put cameras outside only, at the doors and the driveway. Every camera we install is hardwired.

Can the thermostat reset between guests?

Yes. A turnover scene can set the thermostats back, turn off the lights, and close the shades. You can also run it from your phone.

A lot of Beach Haven houses change hands every Saturday. Smart locks give each week its own door code, which starts and stops on the dates you set, so there's no lockbox and no key under the mat. A turnover scene sets the thermostats back, turns off the lights, and closes the shades until the next group arrives. The cleaners can get their own code too.

Older houses, newer Wi-Fi

Many Beach Haven houses have been added onto over the years. Plaster walls and old additions block a single router, so access points are placed room by room and connected by cable where it can be run cleanly. Guests get their own Wi-Fi network, separate from the locks, cameras, and thermostats.
