The first town off the Causeway, and often the first to see the bay come up.

Ship Bottom is right where we come onto the island, so it's a short stop after the bridge.
Works with Lutron, Sonos, ecobee, Yale, Hunter Douglas, Apple, UniFi, and Home Assistant. We pick what fits the house, not a quota.
At the foot of the Causeway
Ship Bottom is the first stop on the island, and its low bay-side blocks are often the first to see high water. Leak sensors go under sinks, by the water heater, and in the lowest room. They send an alert to your phone when they trip. Temperature sensors warn you if the heat fails in January, so you hear about it before a pipe does.
Gear above the water line
The network and control gear goes in a ventilated, labeled closet above the ground floor when the house has one. Battery backup keeps the internet and cameras running through short outages. If the power is out for longer, the system comes back up on its own. We plan where the equipment goes. We don't do flood studies.

Questions about Ship Bottom
- Can I get a leak alert on my phone?
- Yes. Leak sensors under sinks, by the water heater, and in low rooms send an alert to your phone when they trip, as long as the house has internet.
- What if the heat fails in winter?
- Temperature sensors and the thermostats can alert you when the house drops below a set point, so you can send someone to check before pipes freeze.
- Where does the equipment go in a low house?
- Off the ground floor when there's a higher closet. It goes in a ventilated, labeled closet with battery backup. That's planning where things go, not a flood study.
- Can I start the heat or AC before I cross the Causeway?
- Yes. An arrival scene on your phone sets the thermostats and turns on the entry lights before you get there.
