Questions

Smart Home Questions from Shore House Owners

This page answers the questions shore house owners ask most before a smart home project: how pricing works, whether the system runs when the internet is down, how you check the house from the road, and which towns IZZO Network covers. Each answer is short and links to the page with more detail. Call (609) 415-0011 with anything else.

Pricing and estimates

Do you publish prices?
Not yet. Each house is quoted after a short look at the rooms and what is already in the walls. The cost guide explains what changes the price and does not list dollar amounts. Call (609) 415-0011, Mon–Fri 8am–6pm, or send a note.
Is the estimate free?
Yes. The first look at the house is a free home estimate. There is no rate card and no fee listed on this site for that visit. You get a quote after we see the rooms. Use the contact page to ask for it.
What should I tell you before the visit?
The town, what you want in the house, and a phone number. If it is a build, send the plans. That is enough to set the walk-through. The quote still waits until we have seen the house, not just the note.

How the system works

Does the system work when the internet is down?
The wall panel is set up to work when the internet does not, and motorized shades still work by hand if the network is down. Phone access from away needs internet at the house. A keypad in the room does not. See the panel page for the layout.
Can I control the house from my phone?
Yes. The app has the same layout as the wall panel, so you are not learning a second system. That works when the house has internet. At the house, the panel and the keypads are the control. The phone is the same scenes, not a new one.
What happens if a scene stops working?
Call the local number. We stay local if something drifts. The scene is a few buttons on the panel, and we can put it back. Start with (609) 415-0011, Mon–Fri 8am–6pm.
What does the wall panel run on?
Home Assistant. The screens stay short: lights, climate, shades, and a few scenes. The app matches that layout. The panel page is the longer explanation.

Vacation and empty-house questions

Do you work on vacation houses?
Yes. Most of the work is shore houses that sit empty during the week. An away scene is part of that. We cover shore and vacation homes from Margate to Cape May, from the studio in Mays Landing. We do not take jobs outside South Jersey.
Can I check the house from the road?
Temperature, leak sensors, and lights are on your phone, without a stack of apps.
Can the house hold a lower temperature while it's empty in winter?
Yes. Winter setbacks hold a lower temperature while the house is empty, and the house is ready when you arrive. Humidity in summer is part of the same plan for a shore house.

Service area and working with us

Where do you work?
Shore and vacation homes from Margate to Cape May. The studio is in Mays Landing, NJ 08330. We do not take jobs outside South Jersey. Each town has its own page. Hours are Mon–Fri 8am–6pm. Call (609) 415-0011.
Do you work with architects and builders?
Yes. We mark the closet, the keypads, and the shade pockets on your drawings, and we rough-in while the walls are open. The partner page is for architects, builders, and designers. The house still gets a walk-through before a quote.
Do you do business IT?
That is our separate IT site, izzonetwork.com. This site is home automation for shore houses. A plain link is on the about page if you need networks or phones for a business.

Brands

Which brands do you work with?
Works with Lutron, Sonos, ecobee, Yale, Hunter Douglas, Apple, UniFi, and Home Assistant. We pick what fits the house, not a quota.

Cameras, locks, and monitoring

Is the house monitored by a central station?
Alerts go to your phone. That's self-monitoring.
